The Gateways Support Services vision is to help provide support for children and adults with a disability and their families to maximise their quality of life.
Our staff are made up of mountain bike riders, comedians, skiers, surfers, video game superstars, movie buffs, musicians, cat people, dog people and more. At Gateways, we all have one thing in common, the passion to support people with a disability and make every day better.
We are looking for a dedicated disability support worker to join the friendly, supportive and positive Residential Support Worker team in Grovedale (Geelong) for a part-time, 33.5 hours per fortnight opportunity.
You will take an active and holistic role in providing support and assistance to people with disabilities within a residential setting.
At Gateways we work on a fortnightly, Week 1/ Week 2 roster, our work weeks run Thursday to Wednesday. The roster for this position is as follows:
Week 1:
Sunday: – 9.30am - 5.00pm (7.5 hours)
Week 2:
Thursday: 2.45pm - 10.00pm (7.25 hours) + sleepover
Friday: 6.30am - 9.00am (2.5 hours)
Monday: 7.00am - 9.30am + 2.45pm - 10.00pm (9.75 hours) + sleepover
Tuesday: 6.30am - 9.00am (2.5 hours)
Wednesday: 3.00pm - 7.00pm (4 hours)

Employment is dependent upon evidence of your application for the NDIS Screening Check (mandatory from 1st Feb 2021).
Shortlisted applicants will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission online Worker Orientation training module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’ prior to attending induction. This is a pre-employment requirement and if not completed, employment will not proceed.
