Ovens Murray Integrated Bushfire Support Program

In response to the recent devastating bushfires in the state of Victoria, the Department of Health and Human Services and Bushfire Recovery Victoria have implemented a Bushfire Case Support Program which aims to support the personal recovery of people, and social recovery of communities affected by this emergency.

Gateway Health (GH) is a lead agency in this initiative in the North East Victoria region and is seeking applications for the following positions:

Position details

  • Fixed term - 12 months
  • Full-time work
  • Work location will be one Case Manager in each of the Alpine, Towong, Mansfield and Wangaratta local government areas.
  • Applicants should have a suitable qualification such as Bachelor of Social Work, Diploma of Community Welfare Work, or other relevant health and community service qualification in addition to experience working with people impacted by trauma.
  • Candidates may be required to undertake a vicarious trauma assessment as part of the recruitment process.

These positions will work directly with people in affected communities to assess immediate and short terms needs, and provide a range information, advice and support in order to help these individuals families and communities on the road to recovery.
