GRID Series is an artist development platform supporting outer suburban emerging creatives around Australia. We serve as a bridge between underrepresented communities and the industries they seek to access, cultivating an environment for artists to thrive and attain visibility.
By creating a network of support for emerging creatives and arming them with content, industry mentorships and networks we break down the barriers to inclusivity, building and maintaining a more vibrant, dynamic and diverse artistic landscape around Australia.
Our next project is Transmission Festival, a one-day Music and Art Festival that will take place in November, converting a huge site in Melbourne’s Outer Suburbs in to a multi-art immersive experience.
Joining the project, you will be working as a Creative Consultant and Mentor to our Festival Curator.
GRID Series’ core business is to up-skill early career creatives and assist them in navigating the complexities of the music sector.
The successful candidate will be open minded to new ideas, will have a strong network of providers that can be engaged to deliver the festival in keeping with Curator’s vision, will have excellent problem solving skills, is a skilled mentor and a team player.
Experience in creative consulting, specifically relating to innovative event design and delivery
Ability to mentor early career creatives
Experience in designing and delivering multi-art installations
Existing network within the creative industries to assist with execution of creative direction
Availability to provide ongoing support to the Curator as questions arise
Ability to contribute multi-pronged skill set to assist with logistics in the months leading up to the festival and during festival week
The position Is a short term contract, paid an hourly rate of $80 p/h with 60 hours allocated between July and November (inclusive of festival week). The hours will be distributed across specific tasks by the Project Manager and includes attendance at monthly team meetings (Saturdays) between July and November.
