We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainer & Assessor – Community Services to join our Community Services team. The successful candidate will have great communication and organisations skills that will assist in the planning and delivery of classes. Enthusiasm for educating new professionals will ensure success among our diverse student cohort.

Please note, travel between GOTAFE campuses may at times be required.

As the successful candidate you will have:      

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (ie. Community Services and Family Violence/ or Youth Work, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Child Youth and Family Intervention and/or Disability).
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 with new credential requirements TAEASS502 and TAELLN411) or TAE40116. Education opportunities available for qualified candidates without their TAE.
  • Experience in Community Services Work.
  • Sound knowledge of current industry standards.

If you are successful in this role you will be required to provide:

  • A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)
  • A current Working with Children Check - Employee (or proof of application)
  • A current Driver’s Licence (Car).

The salary range for this position is L1.1 – L3.4 under the Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement 2018.
