About the Jobs Academy

The Jobs Academy is a key pillar of Future Women that aims to increase the job readiness and employment pathways of hundreds of diverse Australian women.

It is a 12-month, fully virtual program. Activities include skill-building workshops, mentoring and career-oriented resources, as well as direct connections to our partner employers, who are actively seeking to recruit women.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Recruitment Manager/Careers Adviser to join the Future Women Jobs Academy team. This is a unique opportunity to join a passionate and growing team, as the program continues to expand.

We are seeking someone who shares the Academy’s mission to help women find meaningful work. The successful applicant will work closely with our partner employers and our Academy members by advising, advocating for and connecting them to work and training opportunities.

The role will also involve supporting the design and delivery of program activities, best practice resources, and small group mentoring sessions in collaboration with the team.

About you

Essential:

Direct experience is not required. We are looking for someone with the following transferable skills.

  • Knowledge of recruitment practices and processes in Australian workplaces today
  • Understanding of the barriers to employment for women and diverse groups, including the impact of caring and career breaks
  • Stakeholder and relationship management skills to maintain trusting partnerships and facilitate introductions between partner employers and Academy members
  • Organisational and project management skills
  • People skills, including feeling comfortable providing individualised career advice and support to members with empathy
  • Shares the Academy’s mission to help women find meaningful work

Desired:

The following are bonus skills, but not essential.

  • Experience providing mentoring or other individualised career advice
  • Connections to and networks of diverse Australian employers to create new partnerships and connect Academy members to the current job market
  • Knowledge or experience of reverse candidate marketing
