Fusion Perth is seeking a part-time ‘Youth Programs Lead’ for 15 hours a week to support staff, programs and volunteers. Applicants should be motivated, organised, empathetic and keen to contribute to Fusion’s vision of supporting and empowering young people.

The role of the Youth Programs Lead is to:

  • Support and oversee the Youth Work Team under the supervision of the Youth & Community Services Manager
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and administration of Fusion’s weekly youth work programs in Perth, including active delivery of selected programs
  • Networking and liaising with community partners and stakeholders as required
  • Train, supervise and oversee the individual growth of members of the Youth Work Team
  • Oversee the implementation of program goals and objectives within the context of Fusion’s Process of Mission
  • Collect and compile program data for evaluation and reporting to funding bodies

Essential Criteria

  • Current WWC Card
  • Current Nation Police Certificate (issued in the last 3 months)
  • Current Driver’s Licence

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor of Youth or Community Work, or equivalent experience
  • Must have experience both in youth work program delivery and management/oversight, administration experience, and experience managing and directing personnel

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience driving larger vehicle and towing a trailer

Practical Skills

  • Must have good administration and organisation skills, experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Interpersonal Skills

  • Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written), ability to work with vulnerable young people and communities, and able to work both in a team and independently

Time Management

  • Must have good time and personal management skills with ability to start and finish tasks in a timely manner, and be able to plan, delegate and initiate tasks as needed
