Fusion believes every young person has place and purpose in life and we want to empower them to shine. We have over 50 years' helping young people to thrive in their local community through our evidenced-based programs and Christian-based principles.
Our focus at Fusion Building and Maintenance is creating sustainable futures for young people at risk of disengaging with school through our innovative Bumpstop Car Mods and Mentoring program.
We're a registered charity based in Richmond:
As a Youth Development Coach, your role will be to assist the engagement and progress of young people in the Bumpstop program, from commencement to completion, which includes supporting them towards personal growth and learning outcomes.
This is a part-time position of 15 hours per week, within an initial 12-mth contract and 3-mth probation period.
Training will be provided, as needed, by our experienced team.
Wages will be based on award rates.
You're a passionate self-starter who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people and others in our community. You will have experience in youth work or mentoring apprentices. The vehicles we build in the program are custom vehicles, so you will have a strong mechanical background, with experience as a qualified mechanic. You have initiative and out-of-the-box thinking, but you're also able to follow procedures, accurately complete key administrative tasks and not skip on the attention to detail. You will relate well to young people, parents and carers and professionals involved in their lives and have an awareness of child protection issues.
As a successful candidate, you will also provide a recent National Police Check and NSW WWCC.
