Foundations Care is a not for profit organisation, providing a variety of family support services with experienced and professional staff. Foundations Care prides itself on being child-focused in its operations, with particular attention placed on each child's emotional and developmental needs, as well as the overall needs of families. Out of Home Care is a part of Foundations Care. Out of Home Care provides a number of Foster Care and Kinship Programs and Child Safety Residential services in WA, NSW and QLD.
We are currently seeking applications for a Case Worker to provide direct intervention and effective support to children and young people and their key support network. This role will be based at our New South Wales Armidale location and is offered on a full time fixed term contract basis.
The Case Worker is the key staff member responsible for ensuring the achievement of agreed individual permanency outcome for a caseload of children and young people (CYP) supported through the New South Wales’ Permanency Support Program direct outcomes for a caseload of CYP.
Importantly, you will recognise the need for specialist knowledge and skills and have established collaborative relationships with evidence-based practitioners of those specialist skills that will maximise timely and effective responses to the needs of the child, young person and their families and support networks.
You will be working with children and young people with a range of developmental, behavioural, and psychological needs. You will also be working with their families, carers and broader support networks to create stability for the young person by facilitating the achievement of the permanency goal including preservation, restoration, guardianship, adoption and long-term foster care.
You will have a commitment to improving the quality of life of children and young people now and will work with an objective of ensuring their safety, welfare and well-being at all times while keeping a focus on doing what is necessary to support them to become resilient, independent, capable and successful adults.
In particular, Case Workers will demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, objectives of the Permanency Support Program.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including critical thinking and analytical problem solving skills, establishing rapport through interview skills, conflict resolution, superior detail for accuracy, and planning and organisational capability and autonomy.
