Team Leader Disability - Illawarra

Forsight

We are seeking interest from enthusiastic, committed, and experienced Team Leaders who have a passion for supporting clients and helping lead a small team under our Active Support model; all focused on enhancing inclusion, independence, and well-being for our clients and staff.

We are actively talent pooling for Full time Team Leaders across the Illawarra region.

About us

As a ‘for-purpose’ organisation providing Supported Independent Living (SIL) to individuals with a range of sensory impairments and additional disabilities, our focus is to create opportunities for people to enhance their independence, inclusion, and well-being.

Forsight was established in 1978 by a group of parents and teachers wanting to ensure their children had a pathway to independent living as young adults and beyond.

Their mission has expanded to include people with a range of sensory impairments and disabilities, now supporting a growing number of clients in homes.

The love and dedication of those original parents and teachers remains at the heart of all we do. With 20 shared accommodation homes across Greater Sydney and the Illawarra, our mission is to provide high-quality care and improve the quality of life for our clients.

About the role

The main purpose of our Team Leader roles is to work with a dedicated Home Services Manager to lead a home-based team of Active Support Workers to provide support to their clients using a person-centred approach.

Our focus is on recognising the potential in our clients to empower them in their day-to-day living experiences.

Communication and liaison with key client stakeholders like families, guardians, and other service providers is critical, as is being able to lead and develop a small but passionate team.

Our team leaders work a hybrid model, working alongside our ASW’s providing client support, but with two days dedicated to team leader duties.
