Fireside is a storytelling-led communications agency. We work with good organisations – the ones creating positive change in the world - and help them to amplify their impact with powerful storytelling. We do this because we believe the best way to influence people is to know your essential story and tell it well.
We’re passionate about the narratives as constructive forces for good. That’s why we publish The Story, a digital magazine about the role they play in creating change in the world.
Fireside is growing, and we have an exciting, newly-created opportunity for a Communications Advisor to support us expand our reach and help more organisations tell their story of change and impact.

We’re a small agency that punches above our weight and doesn’t believe in doing work we don’t believe in. In our short history we've already helped organisations like Oxfam Australia, Nightingale Housing and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency create powerful stories of impact and change.
This role is a great opportunity for a talented person who isn’t currently getting the opportunities they deserve, who likes the idea of arriving at Fireside in the early part of our journey and helping us help our clients do more good in the world.
We don’t care whether you work in the office or from home as long as you do good work, within the agreed timeframes. We never want to be a place that stops our people from being good partners, parents or friends.
And if you’re interested in storytelling and using your creativity to make things, there’s every opportunity to have fun helping us make The Story and our podcast StoryCraft.
While the role is initially part-time, there is potential for it to become a full-time position over time.
We welcome and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, mature workers, LGBTI+ people, people with a disability and people from different cultural backgrounds.
