The key role of the Sector Engagement Manager is to work with individuals, organisations, and communities to build the practice of outcomes measurement in the community sector. 

Led by a dynamic new CEO and supported by a small, dedicated team of sector professionals, this full-time role based in Darlinghurst manages the implementation of all sector engagement strategies.

Your role:

Reporting to the CEO your role will be to build and maintain strong relationships with Fams’ Network, government and other stakeholders. You will design and facilitate workshops and provide any other assistance that builds the capacity/capability of individuals, organisations, and communities to measure outcomes effectively and use the data for continuous improvement.

Ideally you will have:

  • Diploma/Degree level qualification in social work, social science or other related discipline, and demonstrated knowledge and/or experience of social work case management practice
  • A minimum of 5 years experience of working in the community services sector
  • Experience implementing outcomes measurement frameworks within an organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate the provision of training and to develop and deliver training to small groups
  • Well-developed research, analytical and conceptual thinking skills and a strong understanding of evidence-based practice
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
  • Effective interpersonal, negotiation and liaison skills, and the ability to build and develop strong collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team to reach their potential
  • Well developed computer literacy across the Microsoft suite, databases and cloud-based collaboration tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment
  • Willing and able to undertake some intra and interstate travel with the possibility of overnight stays
  • A Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment is desirable, but not essential
