The Focal Board is looking for an experienced minute taker to support the Board and other subcommittee meetings through the provision of accurate and comprehensive meeting minutes.
This position requires extensive experience working as a scribe/minute taker with Boards and Executive teams. You will use your skill-set during meetings to ensure all important information, decision making and actions are properly captured in accordance with good governance principles.
As an effective listener with extensive writing skills, you must be flexible and available to attend approximately 10 hours per month of online and sometimes face to face meetings.
Note that at least one meeting per quarter will be held face to face in Brisbane West.
Attend and provide accurate minutes for at least 1 Board meeting and at least 2-4 sub-committee meetings per month;
The Minute taker is responsible for ensuring that a true record of all meetings is completed through the provision of accurate minutes. Requirements of minutes may vary depending on meeting purpose but should include at a minimum:
Draft minutes must be provided to the Board in a timely manner thereafter the meetings for approval.
The Minute Taker will report to the Board’s Chair person.
