Explorability Inc. provides an individual advocacy service to promote the rights of people with disability, their families and carers in Western Australia. Individual Advocates work in partnership with individuals, families, organisations and services to support positive outcomes for a person's advocacy goals.

Explorability is seeking to recruit an Individual Advocate on contract until 30 June 2020, with the possibility of extension. While this is a full-time position, suitable applicants may be considered for any Individual Advocate positions which arise within the next 6 months whereby full-time and/or part-time arrangements may be available.

Explorability is seeking a person who can demonstrate the following:

• A relevant degree or associate diploma with relevant experience OR substantial relevant experience demonstrating an equivalent level of knowledge, expertise and skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of disability and/or mental health, including knowledge of, and a commitment to, contemporary principles and practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong negotiation and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Relevant computer skills, such as using database systems and Microsoft Office.
• A current driver’s licence.
