Close to 1 million Australian’s live with endometriosis at some point in their lives. Endometriosis can often be a painful, debilitating disease that can affect fertility. Despite the growing awareness of endometriosis, the community and many health professionals lack a genuine understanding and the impact it can have on daily life for so many.

The Organisation

Endometriosis Australia is a nationally accredited charity committed to raising awareness, funding research, and educating the public about endometriosis. Established in 2012, Endometriosis Australia has emerged as a peak body in advocating for education, research and fundraising. Our goal is to improve the understanding and awareness of endometriosis to help those affected by the disease.

Position Overview:

The key purpose of this role is to manage, implement and continuously monitor and report on the deliverables of the grant portfolio within Endometriosis Australia. These programs span women’s health, priority populations, and workplaces as an implementation partner within the National Action Plan for Endometriosis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Management
    • Oversee government grant portfolio
    • Manage and implement deliverables across the portfolio
    • Ensure work is delivered and reported accurately according to the designated work plans
  • Stakeholder engagement and collaboration
    • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings with collaborative partners
    • Lead on focus groups or stakeholder interviews as required
    • Work closely with the senior leadership team at EA to enable streamlined and consistent communication channels
  • Reporting and data management
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting
    • Work closely with Administration Office to ensure reports are as detailed as possible
    • Maintain precise and comprehensive records, ensuring all tasks are performed securely and in compliance with established protocols.
  • Implementation
    • Implement all aspects of the grants in accordance with the stakeholder plans
  • Financial Management
    • Manage budgets closely, working alongside General Manager
    • Ensure accurate and appropriate entries are always maintained
  • Research
    • Assist with further research proposals if required

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in public health, women’s health, grant management, policy discipline or similar
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong understanding and/or experience of best practice grant management including reporting
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills with an excellent attention to detail
  • High level understanding of, or experience in, working with priority populations
  • Ability to think innovatively, problem solve and demonstrate initiative
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote/hybrid environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the non-profit sector, particularly in health advocacy or public health
  • Familiarity with endometriosis or related health issues.
  • Ability to conduct literature reviews
  • Experience with grant writing and assessment
  • Experience with referencing software (Reference Manager or Endnote)
