The Sexual Assault service will be expanding to provide a service to persons of all ages. We are looking for someone who can lead the service through this change and create a service of excellence.

Where you'll be working
This role is based at Royal North Shore Hospital Community Health Centre.
What you'll be doing
This role leads the sexual assault service within Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) within a newly integrated PARVAN structure. This role is responsible for leading the sexual assault service within NSLHD.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Tertiary qualification in Social Work with eligibility for AASW and demonstrated extensive experience as a Social Worker Level 2 or above or Current Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and have completed a minimum of one year at the 9th year of service or holds a Masters Degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, with no less than 12 months service at the 5th year of service as a Clinical Psychologist and a current driver’s licence. Applicants must be Female – Under Section 31 (2) (h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and management skills and capacity to manage change in a context of current legislation and broader government and organisational policy with the ability to prioritise, think, analyse and consider context and the impact of trauma and abuse on clients within the service and organisation.
- Demonstrated knowledge in initiating and implementing changes to improve and evaluate clinical service delivery and outcomes, models of care, evidence based practice and program development. Demonstrated experience in monitoring progress and performance with sound data collection and management, statistical analysis and report writing and computer skills.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and extensive experience in violence, abuse and neglect including assessment, counselling, therapy and case management with children, young people and their carers where risk of harm has occurred including sexual assault.
- Advanced capabilities in supervision, coaching, mentoring, engagement and motivation of staff to develop capabilities, manage for performance and support staff health and wellbeing.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, consultation and negotiation skills and experience in liaison at all organisation levels and with a wide range of stakeholders and capability in developing strategies and decisiveness in dealing with emotionally charged situations and difficult and complex issues.
- Demonstrated experience and capability in the establishment and maintenance of functional networks with appropriate services across a range of key stakeholders and a commitment to a multi–disciplinary response.
