WAMS is now seeking a full-time Practice Manager to join their team in Walgett, NSW.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and acting as part of the Senior Management Team, this position is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the WAMS Clinic within legislative standards.
More specifically, your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):
To be considered for this position you will be a current AHPRA Registered Nurse with significant post-registration experience. Although not essential, relevant post-graduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
Immunisation and COVID training is also preferable, although not essential as WAMS will support you with obtaining these. Experience working in a remote area and/or within Aboriginal communities is required, while experience working within an Aboriginal Medical Service will be highly regarded.
Due to the nature of the role, it is essential you have a deep understanding of clinical practice and legislative requirements. As this position is part of the Senior Management Team, it's also crucial you have excellent leadership skills and experience in performance management. The ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders - from government employees to patients - is also imperative.
An understanding of the primary health care system and issues relevant to closing the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples will also be key, including the ability to communicate and appropriately liaise with Aboriginal clients.
In addition, the successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage priorities. You will be an adaptable individual who's able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Your full-time commitment will be rewarded with a salary package ranging from $130,000 - $140,000, negotiable with skills, experience and qualifications.
