The Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO) is Australia’s national education evidence body. Support the development of evidence-based content

The role is responsible for coordinating all engagement activities with school and early childhood teachers, educators and leaders. These engagement activities are central to AERO’s projects, ensuring the voice of teachers, educators and leaders is used to inform and guide our work.

Essential requirements

  • A strong understanding of schools and early childhood settings.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with teachers, educators and leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail, including a meticulous approach to logging and reporting on tasks.
  • Experience in event coordination or education related activities.
  • Proficiency with technology and equipment, databases and cloud based services including MS365 (particularly Word, Excel and Teams).
  • Creativity and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong administrative skills and experience.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the continued development, operation and review of a practitioner reference panel.
  • Organise practitioner reference groups and other meetings and ensure they are supported with agendas and minutes.
  • Create further opportunities for AERO to network with practitioners to extend the reach of the reference panel.
  • Prepare and manage events such as webinars or larger online meetings.
  • Organise logistics for engagement activities and document such events for relevant internal purposes.
  • Provide administrative support and project management as needed.
  • Create presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Draft and prepare correspondence, agendas, minutes, presentations and briefing notes.
  • Draft communications for practitioner newsletters and other general communications for the panel.
