Easy Living Care Solutions (ELCS) is an NDIS Multicultural Disability Care & Support Service seeking a Team Leader to provide person-centred care to one of our participants living in central Melbourne.

Do you have relevant qualifications and experience in working with people with an intellectual disability and challenging behaviours?

 Do you have any experience or training in epilepsy?

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our participants, including companionship supporting them with their daily living activities, and enabling and encouraging them to participate fully in the community.

You will be responsible for managing a team of five or six support workers who provide 24/7 care to the participant. 

Hourly rates will range between $35 to $39 an hour, depending on experience, skills and qualifications.  The position has the potential to become permanent and full-time.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A friendly and approachable personality and GSOH.
• Compassion and patience.
• A willingness to work with people who have challenging behaviours.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to complete records and reports efficiently.
• Ability to provide leadership, and supervision to a dedicated team of Disability Support workers, including holding regular house meetings and reviewing staff performance.
• Ability to liaise confidently with families, and medical and allied health professionals.
• Remain calm under pressure, identify risk factors, and make sound decisions - particularly when dealing with epileptic seizures, or verbal or physical aggression.
• Availability to work weekends and sleepover shifts.
• Have a current driver's license, and comprehensive insurance to provide participant transport during shifts.
• Relevant qualifications and experience in these fields.
