Are you a person with a lived experience of mental health issues and passionate about supporting others in their recovery journey from inpatient services to community?
An exciting opportunity now exists for a Consumer Peer Worker with Eastern Health’s Mental Health Program.
Through sharing wisdom from their own mental health experiences, peer support workers provide support and inspire hope in the recovery journey of people accessing acute inpatient services.
The goal of this position is to provide tailored support to people in the discharge planning and post discharge periods to minimise the risk of unplanned re-admission to a psychiatric inpatient unit and to establish or re-establish meaningful connections in the community.
