Engineers Without Borders Australia (EWB) is a for-purpose organisation with a national office and staff team located in Melbourne, in-country offices in Vanuatu, Timor-Leste and Cambodia, and 20+ Chapters located across Australia. Established in Australia in 2003, EWB works across three major focus areas:

Summary
This role leads the strategic growth of EWB with a strong focus on relationship-based philanthropy, overseeing EWB’s brand evolution, marketing, business development and fundraising, and customer experience. It has a key role in positioning the organisation for an exciting and strategic phase of growth.
Leading the development, dissemination and implementation of business development and marketing strategies, this role ensures that all initiatives align with and support the organisation’s strategic priorities and donor obligations. Maximising income generating opportunities for EWB is a key focus, delivered via existing initiatives and developing new ones that will build donor engagement, network awareness, corporate partnerships, supporter participation and brand awareness, in order to meet (and exceed) budgets.
The role also embodies a passion for brand building, ensuring that our message is clear, and people are compelled to be part of EWB’s journey - evidenced by volunteering, partnering and giving to EWB. The role supports EWB’s staff, members and volunteers to be brand ambassadors for EWB Australia; to build their capacity to compellingly articulate the impact of our programs and to produce authentic, relevant and meaningful content.
Reporting to the CEO, the position leads a small team. As part of the EWB Senior Leadership Team, the role plays an important part in supporting internal messaging and ensuring the overall cultural, financial and operational health of the organisation.

Hybrid and Remote work
The Melbourne office is a hybrid workplace with staff working both in the office and from home each week. We also have team members located remotely. It is important to us that all staff feel part of the team and we are set up to ensure this works.

You will have access to 20 days of paid annual leave (pro-rated for part-time employees). You are also entitled to personal/carer’s leave, professional development leave, 3 months paid parental leave for all new parents, long service leave, cultural leave for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff and bereavement/Sorry Business leave.

Salary Packaging
You will be eligible to salary-package, resulting in an increase to your monthly take-home pay. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) allows us to reimburse you for your personal expenses without having to pay any income or fringe benefits tax that would normally be payable. These tax concessions are in addition to the income tax free threshold. The amount you are returned each month will depend on your circumstances including HECs contribution, with potential up to $15,000 a year.
