Eastern Palliative Care Association Incorporated is a not-for-profit organisation that provides home-based specialist palliative care to clients and their carers living within the Eastern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne. Families and significant others of clients can access bereavement support, which includes individual counselling and groups. EPC is committed to the implementation of the Bereavement support standards for specialist palliative care services (Department of Health 2012)

We have a vacancy in our Massage Therapy team for a permanent 2 days per week (Monday and Tuesday, 8 hours per day) and also for a casual bank Massage Therapist to cover extra days and leave.

To be successful, you will have:

• Qualifications in the field of Remedial Massage Therapy with a minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience
• Membership of a relevant professional body
• Professional skills and experience in dealing with loss, grief and bereavement
• Excellent communications and well developed interpersonal skills
• Current driver’s license, good driving record and your own vehicle to use for home visits
• Ability to work with a high level of independence and autonomy
• High-level organisation and time management skills
• Previous experience in palliative care or community health setting
• Familiarity with common computer applications
