Early Learning Association Australia (ELAA) is a not-for-profit membership association supporting over 1350 early childhood education and care services to deliver our vision of excellence and equity in early childhood education and care. We advocate, lead and influence all levels of Government for policy, funding and regulatory arrangements that deliver quality and sustainable outcomes for our members and the early childhood education and care sector.

ELAA offers five membership types to reflect the variety of providers in the ECEC sector. These include Community, Council, School, Associate and Supporter.

Position Summary

As a member of the Engagement and Marketing team, this part-time role (0.6 FTE over 4 days) will support ELAA’s strategic goals by providing administrative support to the Engagement and Marketing Manager and working closely with the Communication and Marketing Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall, the key areas of responsibility include:

  • day-to-day administrative support in the areas of memberships, including answering questions from prospective and current members over the phone and email
  • lead the annual membership renewal process and end-to-end processing of new members throughout the year
  • support ELAA partners on phone and email alongside the Engagement and Marketing Manager, including creating communications plans and collecting collateral
  • ensure information, workflows and processes are up to date in the CRM and integrated software
  • maintain the ELAA membership area of the ELAA website
  • run and create reports as required
  • support the coordination of member communication and engagement, including event planning and content writing/updates.

Key Experience and Qualifications

Essential for this role:

  • Significant experience in customer / stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with CRM databases (SugarCRM or similar software), and marketing and website platforms (e.g. Mailchimp and WordPress)
  • Advanced Microsoft package skills
  • Minimum 3 years of administration experience in a similar role

Highly valued for this role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and social media management software (e.g. Hootsuite) experience
  • Experience working in NFP, charity or similar community-based organisations.
