Eating Disorders Victoria (EDV) is the leading community organisation helping Victorians understand and recover from eating disorders. A trusted source of support since 1983, EDV delivers a broad range of free and low-cost community services that respond across the breadth of the eating disorder experience – from discovery to recovery.

Our services are for individuals affected by eating disorders, as well as the families, communities and professionals that support them.
EDV’s work is proudly informed by lived-experience, as well as the expertise of health professionals and evidence-based approaches. We are a strong voice for lived experience and actively advocate for our community at local and national level.
In 2020 EDV established the Wellbeing Program to support people with an eating disorder and their families during COVID 19. The Wellbeing Program has proved to be hugely successful and EDV now wants to expand the service by engaging a second counsellor.
The Telehealth Counsellor and online support group organiser will provide assertive outreach to clients and families via telephone, video conferencing and email, and will support our peer mentors to facilitate a suite of online support groups for people with an eating disorder.
The Wellbeing Program sits within the EDV Strategic Programs suite of services compromising of Telehealth Nurse, Carer Program, Education and the Peer Mentoring Program. The new telehealth counsellor will work closely with the Telehealth Nurse to complement work in supporting clients and families to access treatment, set up clinical teams and develop care plans.
