Hurstbridge Children's Centre is a welcoming long day care centre located within the township of Hurstbridge in their state-of-the-art community centre. Bounded by bush and park lands, in a innovatively designed early years facility, Hurstbridge Children’s Centre delivers high quality, inclusive education for children aged three months to five years, including an integrated kindergarten program. The welcoming space includes a beautiful outdoor yard with dry creek beds, mud digging patches, all native tree’s/shrubs and all the native wildlife that encourages, children to roam freely in this one yard with siblings and friends. Families here are passionate about the environment and culture, this is evidenced in our innovative programs and inclusive early education and care for children aged three months to five years.
As a progressive leader and Centre Director you will:
- Enjoy building strong collaborative relationships with parents, families, educators and the local community to provide an inclusive and enriching play-based learning program for children
- Work in collaboration with the Nillumbik Shire to support the day to day operation of the general Hub facility
- Be a superstar pedagogical leader who can bring to life our philosophy, values and beliefs
- View the environment as the third teacher and support the philosophy of nature and outdoor play
- Strive daily to lead and support our team of educators through coaching and mentoring in the delivery of innovate programs for children know your stuff! You’ll have a sound knowledge of and experience with implementing the Early Years Learning Framework, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, National Quality Standards and the Child Safety Standards
- commit to motivating and being a leader who will inspire a positive learning culture
- Work with and alongside our Area Manager in the day-to-day delivery of programs to children and families. want to work in a progressive, fun and engaging centre and team on a full-time basis with an RDO per month
To be considered you will have:
- A Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification. A Bachelor degree in Early Childhood or equivalent is desirable
- Experience as a Centre Director and experience leading a large team and ability to develop and maintain relationships with various stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing high quality and inclusive programs for children of all ages
- Current Working with Children Check/VIT and National Police Check
- Current Level 2 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate
- Experience with Qikkids and Story Park will be highly regarded
