This is a full-time maximum term position until 5th July 2024.

The rate of pay will be $44.12 per hour + locality allowance and super contributions.

About the role:

The Aged Care and Disability Services Regional Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the Aged and Disability Services Program across the East Arnhem region. Programs include the Commonwealth Home Support Program, Home Care Packages and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

To be successful in this role you need:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care Work or equivalent experience in Aged and/or Disability work, or a commitment to undertake study relevant to the area.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aged Care and NDIS legislation and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the provision of respite services and equipment requirements under the Aged and Disability guidelines.
  • Flexible to provide relief duties across the Communities.
  • Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise.
    effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and experience in electronic client management systems and databases.
  • A current C class driver's license

It would be desirable if you also possessed:

  • Previous experience working or living within an Indigenous setting and ability to demonstrate a high level of cross-cultural awareness in the workplace.
  • Awareness of issues affecting Indigenous people to ensure effective participation in a cross-cultural environment.

Employees must also be prepared to travel to remote communities via various means, including 4WD vehicles and light aircraft.

Employment with the EARC is subject to a Criminal History Check and the ability to obtain a Working with Children Clearance. Criminal history will not exclude an applicant unless it is relevant to the inherent requirements to their position.

All employees within our Aged Care and Disability Services Department must also hold or be able to obtain a NDIS workers screening clearance.
