Who we're looking for

Our dedicated headspace Lilydale team are looking for an experienced leader in managing multidisciplinary teams combined with a strong background in youth early intervention and clinical services.

We are looking for a part time (0.8 FTE) leader with extensive experience in assessing young peoples needs, risk and early identification of emerging mental health issues including intervention options for young people experiencing mental illness. You will also be qualified in a Mental Health Profession (Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Mental Health Nursing, Counselling) and hold current registration with the relevant professional body.

What you'll be doing

The Team Leader headspace Lilydale position is a senior position aligned to headspace Knox and is a crucial role within the structure providing leadership, supervision, and support to the headspace Lilydale Satellite team.

This role will encompass many facets, including;

  • Coordinating the headspace Lilydale Satellite site management, service delivery and staff support.
  • Overseeing the inclusion of co-located services such as YETTI, AOD, and employment.
  • Recruiting and supporting private AHP Providers under the Better Access Scheme.
  • You will also provide direct clinical services to headspace clients and their families.
  • Will be responsible for providing group and/or individual supervision for the clinical staff/students in relation to their headspace clients.
  • Oversee the therapeutic services provided to young people with presenting to the headspace Lilydale Satellite site.
  • Coordinating allocations and referrals of young people to internal and external partner agencies and private providers.

This position will work closely with the headspace Knox leadership team to ensure service integration, coordination and consistency across teams.

Who you'll be working with

As well as working closely with the headspace Knox leadership team, you will work with the headspace Lilydale Satellite team, which includes headspace Mental Health staff, reception students, staff, external agency staff and private providers.
