ABOUT US

The Doxa Youth Foundation is a community-based organisation that was established in 1972. We offer a range of programmes to improve outcomes for disadvantaged children and young people across Victoria. We have a particular focus on providing camps and assisting young people to succeed in their studies and the workforce.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking casual staff for our summer camps over January 2023. We are offering camps in the Melbourne CBD and at our bushland camp near Malmsbury. You will be involved in leading and facilitating recreational activities and ensuring the wellbeing and safety of our participants. You will be staying at our venue for the five days and four overnights of each camp. We are all about campers having fun, learning and creating special memories.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in delivering recreational programmes for children and young people,
  • Good facilitation and communication skills,
  • The ability to relate well to a broad range of stakeholders including children, teachers and community groups and,
  • The capacity to work independently and as part of the team.
