This is a hybrid position and can be located near any of our central offices in Sydney, Brisbane or Canberra. The role is flexible, to accommodate for part-time or full-time hours.

Role Purpose

This role is responsible for enhancing health workforce awareness of the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) and supporting Access Points/Pharmacies to provide effective and timely distribution of diabetes related product. The key focus of this role is to facilitate better care of people living with Diabetes and positively influence awareness and engagement in the NDSS.

Key Responsibilities:

Awareness of NDSS

  • Deliver nationally consistent key messages to health professional groups using a digital by default approach and following a nationally consistent approach.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the local health professional workforce to ensure NDSS registration and referral to programs and services, is imbedded in their practice for people living with diabetes.
  • Attend, present and organise an NDSS exhibition at local conferences using the NDSS Conference toolkit.
  • Participate in Primary Health Network education events for primary health care where invited, focusing on the promotion of the range of services provided by the NDSS.
  • Promote all NDSS health professional programs including the NDSS Health Workforce Education Program.
  • Report all GP engagements in the relevant CRM database (NDSS Central).

Engagement with and support of NDSS Access Points (Community Pharmacy)

  • Provide training and support for new Access Points/ including the placement of NDSS signage and diabetes base stock ordering.
  • Engagement with Access Points to provide information, support, or training in relation to NDSS procedures, systems, or product at a local level.
  • Support and maintain relationships with Access Points/ and deliver updates and training in line with the NDSS Compliance Framework.
  • Triage and manage enquiries from Access Points and Registrants as required, related to the NDSS Product supply chain including ordering and distributing diabetes products, management and resolution of related cases, assistance with CGM or Flash GM product extensions and product supply enquiries at a local level.
  • Appropriate escalation of matters related to Access Points or Product supply chain as required.
  • Activities as defined in the NDSS Health Professional Engagement, Education and Training Strategy and supporting plan to ensure national consistency.

About you:

Essential:

  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships both internally and externally primarily through digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop strategic relationships and communicate concepts to health professionals or key influencers.
  • Attention to detail, organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise activities and tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and be flexible in meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience presenting to large groups
  • Demonstrated initiative to drive improved outcomes
  • To proficiently use software programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • A current drivers license (some travel within NSW and ACT is required for this role).

Desirable:

  • Experience in a health environment
  • Understanding of the Australian health sector and the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS).
