The Australian Dental Health Foundation (ADHF) is a national registered charity with a focus on improving Australia’s oral health. The mission of the ADHF is to address the inequality between those Australians who can access the dental care they need, and those who can’t. It wants better access to quality dental care for all Australians regardless of their financial, geographical or social situation.
The Foundation has been successful in receiving funding through the Queensland Government Victims Services Funding Program for a one year project for the further development of the Foundation’s Rebuilding Smiles® program. This program aims to deliver pro bono dental treatment to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence who may have suffered dental trauma or ongoing oral health problems related to lack of dental treatment over time.
To build a network which will provide dental services to Queensland individuals and families impacted by domestic violence by:
In conjunction with the national Rebuilding Smiles® Coordinator you will develop and implement a plan to achieve the project’s objectives.
You will be the key liaison person for participants in this Queensland program. You will work with dentist volunteers and practices, support agencies and applicants for care in the development and delivery of a sustainable Rebuilding Smiles® program in Queensland.
The role is a fixed term contract and is part time over 2 days a week. You will be based in the ADA Queensland Branch in Brisbane.
To be successful you will need to have:
A background in managing programs of work within the not-for-profit sector, or experience in the dental industry or a Professional Association, is an advantage.
