About the Role

As the Workforce Support Officer, working as part of Council's Supported and Connected Living department, your role will be to support workforce functions and business administration to enable our large and diverse community support team to deliver quality aged care services in Darebin. The role works in a dynamic team, supporting team leaders to facilitate workforce development and training, onboarding and offboarding, safety practices, administrative support and engagement with the Community Support Workers.

  • Provide support to the Home Support Unit with workforce recruitment and selection, onboarding and induction and training and development
  • Assist with a wide range of employment related matters in consultation with supervisors and People and Development
  • Support and coordinate training programs e.g. First Aid and Manual Handling training

Skills & Experience

  • Experience and understanding of Human Resource administration including recruitment and training processes
  • Strong customer service and communication skills to provide clear information and establish and maintain relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints
