The MyTime program is an initiative funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services (DSS) and coordinated nationally by the Parenting Resource Centre (PRC). It is a facilitated peer support group that promotes connection to other families and their community. Down Syndrome Victoria works in partnership with Parenting Resource Centre to deliver 18 MyTime groups across the state of Victoria.
MyTime groups are conducted by a facilitator who is responsible for leading parent discussions on various topics throughout the term. Pre-school children can attend the group with their parents/carers, (including siblings) where a play helper engages the children in meaningful play experiences. The play sessions run concurrently, so that parents/carers can participate and engage in the discussion and participate in group sessions and activities.
We are looking for 3 highly motivated facilitators with experience working in the disability sector to conduct a group in Victoria.
