Do you want to work with mob and community partners to get better outcomes for Aboriginal kids, families and communities?
In this Targeted Commissioning and Planning Officer (CPO) role, you will manage contracts under DCJ funding programs. This means building relationships with services that support individuals, families, and communities. As a CPO you will also engage with Aboriginal networks and local Aboriginal communities to improve their access to services.
The CPO works with partners across the community sector and across government to improve delivery of services and achieve better outcomes for service users. The CPO role is dynamic, fast-paced, and requires a sophisticated range of skills and experience.
This is an ongoing role targeted to suitable applicants who identify as Aboriginal in accordance with the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.
NSW Department of Communities and Justice directly supports 800,000 people every year and reaches a further million people through local community-based programs.
Our vision is to empower all people to live fulfilling lives and achieve their potential in inclusive communities. We collaborate with government, non-government and community partners to work with children, adults, families and communities to improve lives and realise potential, with a focus on breaking, rather than managing, disadvantage.
Inclusion and Diversity is at the heart of how we recruit.
We want to hire great people with a wide variety of skills, experience and backgrounds.
This includes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disabilities, culturally and linguistically diverse people, and people identifying as LGBTQI+.
