Program:

The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP), funded by the Australian Government, provides English language tuition to help new migrants and refugees learn basic English language and settlement skills so that they can participate socially and economically in our community.

The Volunteer Tutor program provides one to one English tutoring for recently arrived refugees and migrants.

Role:

The LfE AMEP Volunteer Tutor Scheme Project Officer will assist in promoting the Volunteer Tutor Scheme, recruiting and training suitable tutors, recruiting clients, tutor/client matching, and accurate record keeping and reporting.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in educational, business administration or related field desirable and/or extensive experience in related field
  • Knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety
