About the Role:

C&K are currently seeking a part time Community Liaison Officer in Tara to join their Corporate Services team on a fixed term contract. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with local community organisations, groups and families to increase access and participation of children and families who are not currently accessing an early education and care service.

This role plays an integral part of helping to ensure that all children can access and participate in an early childhood education as well supporting the families to achieve this.

To be successful in this position, you will be dedicated and passionate about young children achieving an early childhood education and have proven success in meeting objectives, stakeholder management and showing commitment and energy to achieve goals.

Working 22.8 hours, 3 days a week, initially this will be a 2-year fixed term position with the potential to be extend.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Establish and strengthen existing early childhood partnerships that already exist within the community
  • Increase the understanding of the importance of early childhood within the community through advocacy for strong early childhood development
  • In establishing strong partnerships, contribute to a shared understanding amongst partners of how the partnership will collaborate and work together
  • Provide information to organisations, the community and families in relation to C&K's early childhood education and care programs, enrolment, fees, transport options and potential funding available to mitigate potential barriers to accessing the service
  • Establish a schedule and attend partnership meetings to build relationships and connect these relationships to C&K service leaders
  • Meet all accountability and reporting requirements established through the project plan and governance strategy
  • Drive the C&K vehicle to transport families and children as and when needed to access required early childhood and community services

Ideal applicants must have:

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and grow relationships with organisations that are likely to lead the referral of children to enrol and attend C&K's early childhood education and care services
  • The ability to organise and prioritise work, managing multiple tasks and function effectively as a self-directed, co-ordinator of multiple initiatives
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal commination and presentation skills
  • A strong customer service focus with exceptional attention to detail
  • Previous experience in analysing data and delivering reports that are effective and meet business needs
