Project Leads x3

The Creative Co-Operative

About us

The Creative Co-Operative is Australia's first startup agency that is 100% owned, led and operated by migrant Women of Colour focused on lifting the economic and social access barriers faced by WoC.

We do this through designing and delivering innovative services, programs and products.

Our team is made up of mostly ex Big Four consultants who have left institutional spaces to create better Ways of Working + Living. We wear multiple hats to punch above our weight and we're only getting stronger. Our achievements to date are a result of our high performance + productivity team who have a solution-driven mindset.

Objectives of the Business

The Creative Co-Operative has set a bold goal: in the next 10 years, we’re going to try to get $700 million into the pockets of WoC.

As a young startup social enterprise, we have been on an exciting journey to validate the best way to make this happen. From delivering consulting services to clients so we can employ (and pay) WoC, to pitching for and winning funding to deliver projects that also create short term or micro-employment opportunities (to pay) WoC.

To this end we have delivered events, campaigns, are working on producing a book, also on a digital product and finally, an entrepreneurship program by and for WoC - all of which are also geared to amplify and champion the amazing WoC in our community, to the rest of the world. Resulting in >200 transactions and financial opportunities for WoC within our first year of operation.

This year, we’ve also set our sights on growing and digitising our capacity-building offering across entrepreneurship and digital skills to - hopefully - doubling our impact figures. You will be helping to spearhead solutions that are creating history as they successfully break down one barrier after the next.
