ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Court Network volunteers provide non-legal information and support to stand beside and empower Court Users before and during court.

The Executive Director of Court Network provides leadership to a professional and volunteer workforce, working closely with the Board of Directors to develop and implement the strategic plan. The Executive Director is responsible for managing and advancing productive relationships with various stakeholders, including Government, the judiciary and court administrators.

The successful applicant will have a strong record of achievement in a senior executive or leadership role in the not for profit sector, including:

• Experience in developing and effectively implementing business strategy.
• Ability to lead a diverse and committed workforce to achieve Court Network’s mission.
• Capability in program delivery and stakeholder management.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• A commitment to social justice and an understanding of the systemic barriers in place for those who are marginalised and vulnerable, including members of diverse groups within the community.

• CEO or senior management experience within a complex operating environment.

• Demonstrated experience in social welfare, criminal justice, or community services and a strong commitment to community development.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and effectively implementing business strategy.
• Demonstrated experience in financial management, change management and people management.
• Demonstrated experience in leading a committed workforce to successful outcomes.
• Experience negotiating with government and other funders.

Desirable

• Experience / knowledge in not-for-profit leadership and / or in organisations with significant volunteer workforces
