Job Requirements:

• Australian citizen or has Right to Work in Australia
• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or above
• Cert IV in Mental Health (Highly regarded)
• Must be LGBTQ Friendly
• Current National / International Police Checks
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current Working with Children Check [Employee]
• First Aid Certificate HLTAID011 or HLTAID012 & a valid CPR
• Full Driving License and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)
• Comprehensively insured car (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Disability Support Worker
• Experience working in SIL house (Highly regarded)
• Experience supporting young adults in the LGBTQ community (Highly regarded)
• Experience Complex Clients with behavioural issues
• Must be tech savvy
• Ability to learn new skills with the client

Other certifications:

• Manual Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Medication Certificate (highly desirable)
• Basic Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Experience with Infection Control & Waste Management
• NDIS Orientation Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• NDIS COVID 19 Certificate (or willing to obtain)

Schedule: Sleepover shifts/Dayshifts/weekend shifts - minimum 6hrs per day.
