Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community Transport (HKCT) provides transport services that are responsive, innovative, accessible and flexible to the aged / disabled residents and their carers, living in Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai local government area.

We are searching for an Operations Coordinator to lead the drivers’ team in: service provision per strategic service operation objectives, efficient management of vehicle utilisation and driver rostering for optimum journey outcomes, and operational compliance.

Overall responsibility for:

• Overseeing the day to day provision of journeys and verifying completion
• Monitor driver rostering, performance and supervision in alignment with the MEA award
• Assist GM with research and analysis of HKCT's service delivery, fleet utilisation and operational forecasts
• Providing leadership, direction and building a strong and positive team culture
• Actively promote work health and safety policies &procedures
• Communication of strategic direction, operational plans and service KPI's

Our ideal candidate will have strong business services experience in aged care or community sector, with strong leadership experience and business acumen.

Other areas that are essential for this role are:

• Experience in logistics/transport scheduling and organising rosters
• Strong written and verbal communication & Computer skills - experience with Citrix programs would be an advantage
• Experience in compliance, process improvements and proven record of performance as a work generator, not only a task tasker
• Demonstrates experience of a strong customer service focus
• Experienced in leading and building strong cohesive teams

Holder of a class LR or above Driver’s License and holder of a Driver Authority would be an advantage. Working in a not for profit environment would also be beneficial but not essential.
