Code Black Psychology

Code Black Psychology is a well-established provider of clinical and forensic psychological services to offenders and victim-survivors of interpersonal violence. Our team provide comprehensive risk and diagnostic assessments and cross-sector case planning. We also provide a range of coordination services to clients with multiple and complex needs with involvement in the health, justice and disability sectors.

Code Black provides a collaborative and psychologically safe environment for our practitioners with low caseloads to enable reflective, evidence-based analyses of high-risk, high-harm cases. Referrals for our services arrive from the health, justice and disability sectors. We also provide consultations to the corporate sector in complex HR/IR matters where we support the development of psychological safety within an organisation by bringing forensic and behavioural change lenses to addressing psychosocial hazards.

Code Black is new to the NDIS. We are responding to multiple requests from sectors across Victoria to provide behaviour support services for complex cases where the participant has multiple behaviours of concerns, complex needs, and often severe functional impairments. Our vision for a forensic behaviour support team is creating a service that utilises behavioural science to create positive behavioural change in situations where participants are typically subject to various legal orders, such as compulsory treatment orders, that would benefit from a deliberate focus on the will and preference of the participant as the change mechanism.
