About the Role...

The Grenville Hub is a vibrant community centre for older people that offers a range of programs and day to day activities, from arts and crafts through to dancing and fitness! The environment is vibrant and entertaining, and more importantly, one where our visitors find connection and engagement. Each day is also filled with smiles and lots of laughter!

We are seeking a passionate and community-focused individual who will support Grenville Hub objectives that promote Living Life to the fullest for older people by engaging with potential and current members to offer activities and programs that focus on community engagement, reablement and wellbeing goals.

* This role is offered on a fixed term contract basis and is subject to funding by the Federal Government’s Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). At the time of this vacancy, the current funding agreement expires 30 June 2022, and further extensions imminent, however, are subject to funding approval(s).

About You...

People are at the heart of everything you do - your team, your internal and external customers, and your community. You are passionate about contributing to an Organisation which provides information, services and infrastructure that supports a growing and thriving Playford community.

You will have an unwavering passion and commitment to delivering positive outcomes for the Playford Community, together with appropriate qualifications in Community Services or demonstrated experience working with older people. In addition, you will possess:

  • An understanding of the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and associated legislation and standards;
  • Demonstrated experience engaging positively and proactively with a wide range of older people to encourage active participation and promote positive health and wellbeing;
  • Demonstrated experience working in community programs and working alongside volunteers;
  • Experience and skills using IT software, databases & social media;
  • Strong customer service focus and commitment to delivering quality customer service; and
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in undertaking evaluations and reviews to measure outcomes and support continuous improvement for community programs.
