About Us

We are an independent, non-profit organisation who campaign to end animal testing that facilitates to market cosmetics, toiletries and other household products.

We survey and accredit cruelty-free companies selling cosmetics, toiletries and household cleaning products to Australian consumers: online and retail.

We are seeking a passionate Accreditation Officer to manage the CCF accreditation program and to assist in a range of office and administrative tasks, including but not limited to database management, volunteer support, and more.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the CCF accreditation program (including enquiries, review, processing applications, participating in the Accreditation Committee, preparing agenda and minutes).
  • Endorse the benefits and encourage participation of the CCF accreditation to cruelty free companies.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including accredited companies to ensure consistency of the program.
  • Manage and respond to enquiries from companies and the general public, assisting them with information and resources.
  • Manage the application of the trademarked Choose Cruelty Free logo, including unauthorised use.
  • Database management ensuring all records are captured and kept up to date.
  • Manage the License Agreement program including invoicing.
  • Manage the CCF App and liaise with external App manager.
  • Identify, develop and streamline existing administrative and filing processes including transitioning paper-based processes to online.
  • Keep informed and up to date about animal testing in China, and regulations in Australia.
  • Assist the Communications Manager with social media and website management as needed.
  • Provide high-level support to all stakeholders.
  • Work flexibly and cooperatively with CCF staff, volunteers and a range of partners to ensure that information is developed and delivered in an appropriate and timely manner.

What you will need:

  • Experience with database development and management, preferably iCloud-based.
  • Experience in administrative and project support roles.
  • Exemplary customer service and communication skills.
  • High level competency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Be process driven and have an eye for detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and handle competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent professional judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • A passion for animals and their welfare.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Previous experience in the non-profit sector
  • Experience or knowledge of animal welfare

The Role:

This role is 3 days a week, working hours can be flexible, with an immediate start if possible.

Our office is located in Bayside, Melbourne.

Remuneration would be in line with the Social and Community Services award rates, reviewed on the basis of the applicant's experience.
