ABOUT THE CHILDHOOD DEMENTIA INITIATIVE:
The Childhood Dementia Initiative is driving world first action for every child with dementia. We are finding better ways to research, treat and care for the 100+ disorders that lead to childhood dementia. Through bold, innovative approaches and systemic change we are improving outcomes for children with dementia across the world.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
- Reports to: Head of Research
- Location: Flexible
- Status: Contract role (2–3 days per week) with view to permanent part-time
This newly created role presents an enticing opportunity for a science or medical graduate to work on real-life projects. You will be joining our highly innovative initiative and will be mentored by our well-respected Head of Research during a time of growth and progression. We are looking for a skilled, driven and passionate individual with enthusiasm for our cause. You will contribute to our investment in the best science to develop effective therapies for Childhood Dementia.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
- Carry out projects related to gathering, collating and analysing research and/or medical information
- Maintain and update the Childhood Dementia Knowledgebase - a database of information about the 100+ childhood dementia disorders
- Contribute to articles, publications and reports relating to research and/or medical information
- Assist with organising research webinars and our annual symposium
- Contribute to other related projects that fit the employee’s skill set as they arise
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Science or medical degree
- Experience with medical and scientific literature searches
- Ability to collate large volumes of complex information
- Attention to detail and commitment to high quality output
- Ability to self-manage
- Energy, drive, creativity and passion
