Key Selection Criteria

  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate desirable however certificate training course can be provided on commencement
  • Hospitality or school canteen experience highly desirable
  • Demonstrated strong cooking and baking skills in nutritious and tasty meals for the community.
  • Barista qualification or experience preferable.
  • Passion and dedication to community development.
  • Experience in a community organisation either in a paid or as a volunteer role, preferably with an understanding of the patterns of governance in community organisations and a capacity to work within a value-based framework.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, and ability to work with a broad range of people.
  • Demonstrated administrative, organisational and time management skills
  • Experience in project planning, program budgeting and reporting for hospitality-based programs, initiating events, activities, celebrations and classes.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to work comfortably within a team environment, managing time effectively and prioritising a wide range of tasks (including demonstrated ability to maintain excellent customer service skills when dealing with competing demands).
