POSITIONS AVAILABLE
- We are seeking applications for Residential Disability Support Workers to join our newly created accommodation team.
- There are multiple permanent and casual positions available.
- Approximately 4 - 6 staff are required (PF/T, PP/T & casual).
- This new venture offers excellent remuneration and development opportunities for the right people.
- Flexibility is necessary. Sleepovers, weekends & out of hours work is required.
- Successful applicants may have opportunities to work across teams. (Accommodation Team and Community Programs Team)
THE ROLE
Changing Tracks will support two young men to live in their own house which is located in Armstrong Creek, Geelong, Victoria. Our team of Residential Disability Support Workers will support them on this journey by:
- Assisting two people to live in their own home as independently as possible.
- Maximising each person's choice & control of their own lives, enabling them to be actively involved in decision making.
- Monitoring each person’s health & wellbeing.
- Facilitating recreational pursuits and community access.
- Assisting with meal preparation and household tasks.
- Working in ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:2.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- All team members must be available to work sleepovers and weekends on a rostered basis.
- You must have a driver's licence and undergo relevant safety screenings, including WWCC, Police Check, DWES, reference checks.
- You will be required to have or complete a First Aid certificate, level 2 with up to date CPR.
- Experience and qualifications are desired but a great attitude, excellent work ethic and initiative are key.
- These positions require people who are active, adaptable, enthusiastic, good communicators and passionate about enabling people to reach their goals.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
- Interviews for suitable candidates will take place between Wednesday 13th – Wednesday 20th January 2021.
- The selection panel will consist of representatives from Changing Tracks, the residents and select members of the residents families.
