Centacare is an agency of the Archdiocese of Brisbane and provides a broad base of Social Services to the South East Queensland Community including Disability Services and Community Aged Care.

The Job

Centacare Community Services (CCS) is currently in a position to undertake organisation wide transformation to develop a culture of ‘process excellence’ through streamlining systems, policies and processes across the organisation. This transformation is part of the strategic priorities to enable Centacare to continuously seek to improve the client experience in a way that is efficient and sustainable.

The role will provide a comprehensive range of high level administrative and project support tasks including liaising with Project Teams and stakeholders on project deliverables, maintaining registers and routine databases, providing secretariat support, responding to enquires, drafting communications and assisting with background research and analysis. Centacare Community Services has a full time one year fixed term Project Support Officer position available.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate assigned project components on behalf of the Manager to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Liaise with stakeholders on the development and delivery of improvement projects including tracking project deliverables and improvement metrics
  • Prepare process documentation
  • Develop effective data collection templates, and coordinate the gathering and compilation of data/metrics
  • Collate, extract, manipulate and merge large volumes of data from a variety of sources and produce reports
  • Develop and maintain the project library, filing, recording and reporting systems
  • Coordinate the production of all reports and produce project summary reports
  • Provide administrative support to the Steering Committee, Project Teams and Working Groups including assistance in the production of reports and meeting papers, minute taking and agenda distribution
  • Organise workshops, project meetings and events including venues, catering, invitations, participant management, and ensure relevant resources and documentation is prepared and available for the session
  • Identify and assess potential issues or risks that could affect the project; communicate with the Manager; record and monitor centrally for each project

What we need from you

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to use initiative and be self-motivated
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver outputs within specified time frames
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, deal with ambiguity and make clear and decisive decisions to effect successful outcomes
  • Good research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team
  • Ability to work within minimal supervision, exercising initiative as required
  • Current Queensland 'C' class drivers licence
  • High degree of computer literacy, particularly in MS Office suite of products, Visio and a willingness and skill to learn new programs quickly
  • Knowledge and experience of a formal project management methodology e.g. Lean / Six Sigma and change management principles (desirable)
  • Diploma of Project Management and/or Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or Business Management or other related areas (desirable)
  • Blue card with yellow card exemption
  • National Police Certificate

The benefits

You will be paid in accordance with our Collective Agreement with the base salary commencing at $65,726 pa ($33.2626 p/h) - $80,296 ($40.6361) plus 9.5% super or higher based on your qualifications and experience.
