  • $1000 relocation package available
  • $1000/annum for professional development
  • Leadership mentoring by a member of the QLD Regional Management Team
  • $47+/hr + super + up to $15,900 in salary packaging

  • No after hours or on call

About the role

The Intensive Family Support Services team provides expert advice, support, knowledge and access to a range of networks for families engaged with our Service across the Burdekin region.

Your practical guidance will ensure a range of assessments, short-term interventions and therapeutic approaches are utilised when developing case plans and when assisting families with multiple and complex needs. You will enjoy providing direct, in-home support services to families.

About you

You are an engaging leader who inspires and mentors their team to overcome challenges and achieve shared goals. You are passionate about building rapport and effectively engaging families within the community. With a comprehensive knowledge of legislative and service requirements you promote compliance while aligning the needs of children, young people and families.

To be suitable for this position, your qualifications for the role will consist of:

  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or related discipline;
  • Practical experience managing a multidisciplinary team in a human service context;
  • Experience in engaging effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people;
  • Practical knowledge of financial management systems and budgeting;
  • Current driver’s licence;
  • Possess or has the ability to acquire a current National Police Certificate and Blue Card (Working with Children);
  • Proof of Covid vaccinations.
