CareerTrackers is a national not-for-profit organisation that creates internship and private sector employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students. We are a fast-paced, innovative organisation, leading in the area of professional Indigenous employment. We currently work with 1,354 students, 37 universities and 108 corporate partners nationally.

Our goal is to increase the representation of Indigenous Australians in professional private sector employment. And we absolutely see this in the results we help to achieve:

  • 89% of our interns graduate university compared with 47% of students outside the program
  • 95% of CareerTrackers Alumni are in full time employment within 3 months of graduating and on average earn a higher salary than their graduate peers.

As a Graduate Accountant you will:

  • Support the Financial Controller in analysing business and financial trends
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll function
  • Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable function
  • Preparation of the general ledger and month-end reconciliations
  • Administer the payments of scholarship programs
  • Assist in the preparation of management reporting
  • Reconciliation of Bank and Balance Sheet accounts
  • Ad hoc assignment and projects
