This role will assist the broader Youth Services Senior Clinicians and Management team to developing staff who are provisionally registered or early career psychologists and create consistency in the clinical delivery of risk assessments reports across the service. To achieve this approximately 0.2FTE of the role will involve direct supervision as the primary or secondary supervisor for provisionally registered psychologists undertaking the 4+2, 5+1 or students on higher degree placement. Supervision of fully registered psychologists may also be required. The other 0.2FTE will be utilised to undertake reviews of clinical Tier 2 assessments and provide feedback to staff across the service to create a consistent benchmark for report writing and risk assessment. Supporting quarterly audits of clinical case notes will also form part of our quality improvement practices.
The role requires a highly skilled clinician with significant experience working within a forensic setting and providing clinical support to a developing staff team. Enhanced skills in forensic risk assessment and report writing are required. The role will be ideal for someone looking to develop new staff and enhance an existing staff team through support and quality improvement.
