Caraniche Forensic Youth Service are looking for skilled clinicians to join our team to provide holistic care to improve the health, well-being and lives of young people who have become involved in the criminal justice system.

The Caraniche Forensic Youth Service is a Victorian, state-wide provider of Youth Offending Programs to the Youth Justice sector. Caraniche Forensic Youth Service operate under a “one team” philosophy where there is opportunity for cross learning and support between teams.
This is a highly specialised role, with the opportunity for a mix of clinical work (ie., conducting comprehensive risk assessments and writing forensic reports and delivery of treatment) and leadership / supervisory responsibilities. Our psychosocial and criminogenic program suit comprises of over 10 targeted programs to address violence (including family violence), motor vehicle-based offending, alcohol and drug use, and antisocial attitudes and behaviours. The programs are research based and have been developed by leaders in the forensic psychology field.
There is ample opportunity to engage with professionals from multidisciplinary backgrounds, through attendance to Care Team Meetings.
This role will be based in North Metro Community (Broadmeadows).
Please note during COVID-19 restrictions this position will be telehealth and working from our Parkville office if required.
We have worked hard to create a positive, collaborative team culture comprising skilled clinicians who are committed to providing evidence-based treatment to address offending and promote long term behaviour change. We are looking for a clinician who is a team player, is client-focussed, has a warm empathic and engaging style and is wanting to provide early intervention and support for young people who have entered the justice system.
Ideally, applicants will have experience with, and / or a strong desire to work with a youth cohort who are culturally and linguistically diverse and present with varied needs including complex trauma, behavioural issues, mental health, substance use, low cognitive functioning. This is a fast paced and dynamic role so organisational skills including an ability to prioritise tasks is essential.
