The Cancer Institute NSW is Australia’s first state wide cancer control agency, established in 2003 to lessen the impact of cancer across the state.

In this role you will provide expert epidemiological input into the research, monitoring, evaluation activities of the Institute to inform decision making and support achievement of the NSW Cancer Plan Objectives.
You will be a team player that thrives in a collaborative, dynamic, and evolving landscape to support the delivery of high-quality cancer related evidence and information to diverse stakeholders.
Essential to the role will be your ability to apply your strong statistical analysis skills to complex cancer treatment data sets along with an ability to manage datasets and analytical processes to work efficiently. You will be required to develop methodologies to measure quality indicators that enable the Institute to provide accurate reporting on the quality of cancer care.
You will have strong statistical and programming skills with a qualifications in epidemiology, public health, statistics or health information.
Whilst technically strong you will also have effective communication skills and the ability to translate and convey epidemiological concepts and nuanced results to your peers and non-technical stakeholders.
This role is based at the Cancer Institute NSW located at Eveleigh, however, the Ministry of Health will be relocating the Cancer Institute to St Leonards in mid-2020. The Cancer Institute NSW is unable to offer salary packaging. Salaries will be negotiated commensurate to experience and qualifications of the role.
